Resident Artist
Blaine’s journey at Electric Lady began in 2017 when she joined the studio as an apprentice. Since becoming a full-time tattoo artist in 2018, she’s grown alongside the studio, making Electric Lady a place that’s as much home as it is her workplace.
Specialising in detailed black and grey realism, Blaine has a particular passion for tattooing nature-inspired subjects, from wildlife and florals to skulls and botanical pieces. While black and grey realism remains at the heart of her work, she enjoys taking on a variety of styles, and is currently focusing on expanding her style into colour realism. Drawing has always been a huge part of her life, with coloured pencil realism being her favourite artistic medium, and she’s excited to bring that same eye for colour, texture and detail into her tattooing.
When she’s not tattooing, you’ll usually find Blaine at the yard with her horse, Biffy, or with a camera in hand. An enthusiastic amateur photographer and filmmaker, she also manages much of Electric Lady’s social media, photographing and filming the artists, their work and everyday life around the studio. If you’ve noticed she doesn’t appear on the studio’s Instagram as often as the rest of the team, it’s simply because she’s usually the one behind the camera—capturing life and work in the studio while still spending her days creating tattoos of her own.
"Blaine did an incredible black and grey floral piece on my forearm. The shading is absolutely flawless and the detail in the petals is stunning. She really took the time to understand what I wanted and the result exceeded all my expectations."
