Meet Adam Davey, the founder of Electric Lady Tattoos. After opening the studio in 2007, he spent many years tattooing and building his reputation as a realism artist before his career took him around the world. Having tattooed internationally and travelled
extensively, Adam continues to draw inspiration from the people, places and experience he’s encountered throughout his journey.
Specialising in black and grey realism, Adam is best known for his striking portrait work, combining technical precision with an artist’s eye for capturing character and emotion. His love of portraiture extends beyond tattooing, and he also creates hand-drawn commissioned portraits alongside his tattoo work.
Three years ago, Adam made the move to Indonesia to pursue two of his greatest passions—surfing and teaching art through his online drawing courses. Although he’s now based abroad, he still returns to Electric Lady for a few months each year, giving clients the opportunity to book in with him whenever he’s back in the UK. Whether he’s tattooing, drawing or teaching, Adam’s passion has always been helping others appreciate the art of realism and sharing the knowledge he’s developed throughout his career.
